About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist for our position of Neurodevelopmental Therapist.

The role provides a community based service for children 0-2 years with diagnosed disabilities, developmental problems and a follow-up programme for premature babies. The role includes assessment, therapeutic intervention and specialist equipment provision. Your practice will be child focused and family/whanau centred.

This position is 40 hours per fortnight (0.5 FTE) working Monday to Friday, actual days of work to be agreed.

About our team

Our Child Developmental Team is a small and dynamic service, well supported by the wider Allied Health and multidisciplinary team with close links to regional and national networks. We comprise the following disciplines:

Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Neurodevelopmental Therapist, Speech Language Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, ASD Coordinator and a Team Leader.

All these positions are part time and we work closely together to provide integrated care for the children and families we see.

About you

The applicant must have experience in neuro-Paediatrics, and preferably accreditation with the Enable scheme in the appropriate areas. You must hold a current practicing certificate (APC) and a current driver's license.
