Pressure Injury Prevention & Management Programme
Health New Zealand Wairarapa Hospital are delivering a pressure injury prevention and management (PIPM) programme as part of preventing healthcare associated infections and improving patient outcomes. We are looking for a Ward Resource Nurse to support this important programme within Acute Services. You will provide PIPM support, advice and education to staff, patients and whānau as well as assisting in quality based oversight.
The primary focus of the PIPM programme is on education, timely prevention strategies and early recognition in both the community and inpatient environments. Robust assessment, management and specialist wound care will also form an important focus within the programme.

Expressions of interest are sought from nurses currently working in Acute Services who would like to be involved in this important quality focussed initiative.
Successful applicants will be supported in attending pressure injury specific professional development opportunities as part of the role.
To be considered for this role you will need to have at least two years post graduate clinical experience, be confident in working independently and a focus on quality improvement.
This is a permanent part time position operating alongside your current role. The hours are (8) hours per fortnight (0.1 FTE).
