Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a New Graduate or experienced MIT to join our Imaging department service at Wairarapa Hospital, we offer a comprehensive diagnostic radiology service including: General Radiography, CT Scanning.

We will consider either full time or part time hours, please indicate your preference in your cover letter.

Your responsibilities will include working in all general areas of the department including, general Radiology, CT and Fluoroscopy and performing examinations in special care areas such as HDU, Theatre, Emergency and general wards.

There is also a requirement to be available for the after-hours on call roster (once orientated including CT training). Actual days and hours of work will be discussed further at interview.

Moū - About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered or eligible for registration by the Medical Radiation Technologists Board.
  • Experience in CT preferable however applications will also be accepted from individuals willing to train in CT.
  • You will be a positive, friendly and supportive team player with a good sense of humour and have:
  • sound knowledge of diagnostic radiography
  • well-developed communication skills and empathy
  • the passion to deliver high-quality healthcare
  • the flexibility to work a Mon-Sun rotating roster with on call
