Casual Community Support Worker - Adult Mental Health Services

Masterton, New Zealand

As a community support worker you will be based in the Crisis Respite & Recovery Centre at Wairarapa Hospital campus and assist with the support and care of tangata whaiora / consumers. We are looking for someone who is flexible with a calm nature and is sensitive towards different cultures.

You will be innovative and have previous experience working alongside tangata whaiora / consumers and family / whanau with mental illness and mental health needs.

You will have the National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work (or equivalent tertiary qualification) or be working towards one. You will also need to hold a full current clean driver's license for this role.

This is a casual position, covering rostered and rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

This role will be based at the Crisis Respite, Masterton. However, this role is part of the wider 3DHB MHAIDS service, and all MHAIDS staff are centrally employed.
